Used traditionally in Korean medicine for stomach ache, vomiting, diarrhea and to stop bleeding. Tall perennial, native to China, Mongolia, Japan, Korea and the Far East of Russia, where it can be found growing in meadows, on slopes and in forests. The young leaves can be cooked and eaten. Very easy to grow from seeds. Ht. 75-180cm/2.5-6ft.
