Canadian owned & operated—Shipping across North America!
January 15, 2026

This year, as we look out across the herbal world we’ve helped cultivate for more than fifty years, we find ourselves facing challenges unlike any we’ve seen before. Running this business has tested our limits—Its demanded long nights, hard decisions, and a resilience we didn’t know we’d need.
And yet, despite everything, our conviction has only grown stronger.
Because our mission — to bring herbal diversity to every home — feels more essential now than at any time in our history. The world is changing fast. Costs of living soar. Technology disrupts livelihoods. AI rewrites the rules of work. People feel stretched thin, anxious, and increasingly disconnected from the real world and from each other.
But a seed is a small act of defiance...
Every seed we grow, every plant we ship, every herb we keep alive in our collection represents our collective fight to reclaim a little control. Growing your own food, your own medicine, your own flavours — these are simple but profound acts of self-reliance. They remind us that life doesn’t happen only through a screen. It happens in soil, in sunlight, in quiet mornings, in green shoots pushing their way through the cold. That is why, no matter how hard things get, we remain steadfast in our purpose.
So in the midst of all the noise and uncertainty of today’s world, we hope you find your refuge in the garden. We hope you take moments to move slowly, breathe deeply, feel the sun on your back, and the earth between your fingers. These small rituals are not trivial — they remind us what it means to be human.
Invite your friends to grow with you. Share your garden with your family, your community — and with us. (Truly, send us your photos; we love seeing the gardens you nurture!) Share your harvests, exchange cuttings, swap stories, teach someone who has never planted a seed before. This is how healing begins: not all at once, but together, one small act at a time.
From my parents, from me, and from our entire team who pour their hearts into every seedling and every order, we wish you a peaceful and abundant gardening season ahead. When the ground warms and you place your hands into the soil, I hope you feel the deeper meaning behind all of this — the legacy, the purpose, and the shared belief that the world becomes a little better every time someone plants something.
With gratitude,
