Creeping Savory

Creeping variety from Iran, Turkey and the Caucasus. Excellent for rock gardens and edgings. Masses of white flowers appear in late summer. The leaves have strong flavour, similar to winter savory, and can be used fresh or dried just like other savories. The essential oil in the leaves has antimicrobial, antiviral and antioxidant properties.
