Eleonora Basil

Resists downy mildew! This is the first Genovese variety to show resistance to downy mildew, the disease that is destroying basil throughout the world. Eleonora has intermediate resistance to the disease which means that it does not completely succumb to the disease like other Genovese varieties do. Has large medium green, slightly serrated leaves. Suited for field and pot plant production. The medium green leaves are slightly narrower and less cupped than traditional Genovese basils.
