Genovese Nero Fig

This is an outstanding fig with a sweet, rich flavour and a wonderful syrupy texture. Fruits are medium to large size with a dark strawberry pulp and a bluish skin. "It just explodes with flavour" enthused one fig lover. Many say this is one of the best. May be identical to the variety known as Italian 258.
