Greek Myrtle

Mediterranean evergreen shrub with fragrant white flowers and glossy leaves, making it a great houseplant! Leaves be dried and used in potpourri or like bay leaf in cooking, adding a spicy flavour. Locate in a spot where it will get as much sun as possible. If it does not get enough sun, it will turn leggy. Represents love and constancy, regarded as the sacred herb of Aphrodite in ancient times and incorporated into bridal bouquets. During the summer months, Greek Myrtle makes a good hedge and potted patio plant and can be pruned into a topiary although it will be less likely to produce flowers if trimmed back too much. Although it can grow up to 15 feet tall, it will not usually get taller than 2-3 feet indoors.
