(Crowfoot; Wild geranium) Native of Europe and Asia with astringent, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Roots are used in Tibetan medicine for wounds, bruises, fractures, swelling of the limbs, and for fevers and inflammation of the lungs caused by influenza. Also used across much of central Asia for insomnia, epilepsy, ulcers, abscesses, rheumatism and digestive problems. Profusions of blue-violet flowers from June to September make this a nice plant for wild areas, meadows and open slopes. Ht. 60-90cm/2-3ft.
