Excellent resistance to downy mildew disease! In recent field trials at Rutgers University this sweet basil was the most resistant to downy mildew disease, especially late in the season when most other varieties succumb to heavy disease pressure. Vigorous growth habit, slow to bolt, and has a high leaf to stem ratio, Growers love this variety for the fact that it rebounds after harvest even when the whole plant is cut down to 10-15 cm above the ground. Excellent for home gardens too.
Protected by U.S. patent in the U.S. and by European and Australian PBR.
