Proa Yarrow

Elite tetraploid variety for commercial production. Its essential oil is rich in proazulene, a powerful anti-inflammatory agent with additional strong antibacterial and antifungal effects. Proazulene is also one of the best natural antioxidants known. When present, it adds a distinctive blue colour to yarrow essential oil. Yields of essential oil in Proa are typically high, between 0.3% and 1.4%, and proazulene or its precursor, chamazulene, are significant constituents. Heavy biomass-yields, uniform growth habit.
