I’m wanting to grow a patch of comfrey for my flock of chickens to enjoy periodically. Your Bocking #4 is recommended as fodder yet it’s only available as a plant. I was hoping to buy seed since I’m going to need numerous plants. Is Common Comfrey ok for chickens? Can you suggest any other crops for chickens eg. Omega flax?

Yes, common comfrey will work for animals also.

Omega flax is of course routinely added to chicken feed now in order to boost omega-3 fat content. Also, aztec marigolds are added to chicken feed to deepen the yellow colour of the egg yolk. Chickweed is a special delicacy for chickens.
