Herbs to Grow for Horses

Last year I remember seeing an advertisement for a packet of herb seeds that one could plant in one corner of the pasture so horses could choose what they would like or need. I can’t seem to find it now that it’s almost time to start sowing. Would you be able to help me come up with a combination that would grow happily in south Texas and be good for my horses?

Given that one resource I have states that in an old, unploughed meadow, 74 species of plants had been identified, your question is not as simple as it would at first appear! However, some useful herbs for horses include: Alfalfa (Medicago sativa), Burdock (Arctium lappa), Catnip (Nepeta cataria), Chamomile (Matricaria recutita), Comfrey (Symphytum officinale), Chickweed (Stellaria media), Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale), Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare), Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum), Garlic (Allium sativum), Hops (Humulus lupulus), Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis), Mullein (Verbascum thapsus), Parsley (Petroselinum crispus), Peppermint (Mentha piperita), Red Clover (Trifolium pratense), Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), Raspberry (Rubus ideaus), Rosehips (Rosa spp), Sage (Salvia officinalis), Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora), Thyme (Thymus vulgaris), Valerian (Valeriana officinalis), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) and Yellow Dock (Rumex crispus).
