Dog and Hip Tumour

My dog is a female boxer, is 11 1/2 years old and has a skin tumor on her hip. A few years ago she had surgery on a large tumor on her hip, but now I think she is too old. Is there an herb that might help it go away? Also she has started urinating on the couch, her bed, my bed. I’m wondering if she is trying to tell us something is wrong. I have to take her out during the middle of the night occasionally. She has urinated on the floor while we are gone during the day but I figured she couldn’t wait. It doesn’t seem to be a behavior problem. Any suggestions?

This is a highly complex issue and it would be best for your dog to be seen by a qualified herbalist who has experience with animals. Your dog deserves to have a full case history taken in order for the practitioner to understand her entire story and make the best possible recommendations specific to her condition. However, in the meantime, you might want to look at the entry on this website (www.richters.com) entitled, "Aging Dog with Arthritis" for nutritional suggestions. A good, homemade diet would be the best place to start to help strengthen her entire body as well as her immune and urinary systems.
