Are there herbs available to treat heart worms?
Your question raises several points: first off, heartworm is only found in certain geographical areas. Therefore, my initial response would be, does your dog live in a vicinity known to be infested by heartworm? Second, your best option is prevention. Thoughts to consider: make sure your dog is as healthy as possible (ie: good, homemade diet, lots of exercise, minimal stress, strong immune system, etc.) and eliminate or avoid places that mosquitoes can breed or keep your dog indoors during dusk and evening when mosquitoes are most active. Should your dog contract heartworm, your best option is to seek the advice of a qualified practitioner who is experienced in the use of herbs with animals as each animal is a specific case and the treatment for this condition is beyond the scope of this forum.
