I have a copy of Dr. Pitcairn’s Complete Guide.... published in 1982. I’m wondering if there have been any new findings regarding homemade cat diets since then that might be in a newer publication? Should I be replacing my copy with a newer version?

There is a new edition available, published in 2005. It is hard to say whether you should buy the new version or not; some of the content is the same, but quite abit has been updated, including his stance on meat as well as the calcium/phosphorus ratio in the diet. Personally, I like the new version better. Perhaps your library has a copy you might peruse before you make your choice?
