I love herbs, the garden and animals, but I don’t know to much about them... We bought some regular dog food for the guard dog at work and she wasn’t eating it so I have been soaking the dry morsels and adding cooked potatoes and carrots and some chicken bouillon and shaping them into meatballs and baking them..she LOVES them...Do you think this is ok? Are there any herbs I can add to her meal?

You may also be interested to look at the work of Richard Pitcairn, "Natural Health for Dogs and Cats", "The Complete Herbal Handbook for the Dog and Cat" by Juliette de Bairacli Levy and "The Barf Diet" by Ian Billinghurst; there you will find lots of information about domestic animals and diet as well as lots of recipes. As for adding herbs to the food, you will probably find that if the animal’s nutrition is complete, extra herbs are not necessary. Do experiment with all sorts of vegetables in the food; your dog will let you know which ones she likes. I also would recommend that you use real meat rather than instant boullion; these processed products are usually full of salt and preservatives which may not be the best for long term health.
