Possible Diabetes and Arthritis?

My 8 year old Anthony (cat) has recently seemed to have lost weight although he is the first in line at meal time (Diabetes?). He also is hesitant to jump up to windowsills or their jungle gym and will only get into a chair if there is a footstool nearby. When he is with the other cats (4) he seems quite irritable. Mostly he is still the most outgoing, affectionate and personable of them all. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Given the information you have provided, it is very difficult to offer any suggestions. However, I would recommend that you seek the advice of a qualified professional in your area who has experience with both animals and herbs. Such a person may be found through the Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association (www.vbma.org). It will also be important to have blood work done to check for glucose and thyroid levels as well as general health. In addition, a full physical examination should be performed. There are many reasons the above description could occur; only further investigation will pave the way to a solution.
