My lamb has survied joint ill but has been left with stiffness in one leg and he has had all the treatment he can from the veterinarian. I have been using lavender in his joint and do not know what other herbals I can treat him with .

There are several things you can try:

Homeopathics: please see the posting on this website (www.richters.com) entitled, "Dog has Stiffness in Back Legs" wherein you will find information regarding Rhus Tox for stiff joints. Should your lamb have no relief using this homeopathic, you could also try Ruta Graveolens in the same manner described for Rhus Tox.

Herbs: Juliette de Bairacli-Levy describes several herbal treatments in her book, "The Complete Herbal Handbook for Farm and Stable" under the heading of "Rheumatism and Arthritis" in Sheep. Herbs such as Paprika, Parsley, ComfreyAsh, Burdock, Chickweed, Celery, Roesmary and Seaweed are cited as is the use of molasses and apple cider vinegar. Might be worth picking up a copy for now and for future refernce, ISBN: 0-571-16116-2 and sold by Richters Herbs.
