Thinking of making a herb wreath, do you know how long they last?

Herb wreaths can last for years, depending on how they are made and the ingredients used. But in practice, they get dusty and damaged over time and need to be replaced perhaps every year or every other year. Even fresh wreaths – that is, wreaths made with fresh branches of herbs -- will dry gracefully over time and will look good for months, even years. Of course, if you _use_ the herbs in the wreath for cooking then the wreath will be tired looking within a much shorter period.

A good source of information on herbal wreaths and how to make them is Richard Kollath’s book, "Wreaths, Creative Ideas for the Year Round. It is available from Richters.
