Home Herb Mill

You’ve probably answered this question before, but I am looking for a home-use herb mill to powder small quantities of various herbs (chamomile, marigold, oatstraw, etc.). I’ll need the powder fine enough so that it will liquefy when added to water.

I won’t be doing this very often and don’t want to invest the money required for commercial-type mill. Are you aware of any products suited for the home market that would do the job?

We have had great success with a Surmeet Asian Kitchen Machine. This unit is a counter top grinder from India that grinds all types of herbs and spices into powders. It has a heavy-duty motor which is needed to really do a good job grinding dried products. It is very reasonably priced, under $250. Check with local Indian appliance distributors for availability in your area.
