My mother and I are of Scandinavian descent, and we are curious about the difference in flavor between white cardamom and green cardamom in cooking. We usually bake a couple of different Scandinavian desserts at Christmas, and I have bought green cardamom for the last couple of years because the white pods are so hard to find and expensive to say the least. If you could answer our dilemma we would be most appreciative.
White cardamom is the same as green cardamom except that the pods have been bleached. The Flavour is the same.
