Please e-mail as much information about castor bean as possible.

Castor beans grow ninety to two hundred and fifty centimeters tall. They should be grown in well-drained, humus rich, fertile soil in full sun. The pH of the soil should be 4.5 to 8.3

Seeds should be soaked overnight in water and germinated at twenty to twenty-seven degrees Celsius. In six to twenty-two days fourty to fifty percent of the seeds will have germinated. Grow the seedlings at twelve to fourteen degrees Celsius.

Plants are hardy in zones eight to ten but can be grown in the tropics as well.

The seeds are very poisonous, while the rest of the plant is unpalatable but not poisonous.
