Herbs for Tropical, Very Wet Environment

Could you suggest a list of culinary &/or medicinal herbs for a tropical, very wet climate?

The suggested plants are:

Gotu kola, calamus, vap ca, chamelion vap ca, water spinach, water mint, waterpepper, Vietmanese coriander and possibly: pimpernel, burdock & gobo, Madagaskar periwinkle, eclipta, mexican coriander, joe pye weed, Chinese licorice, bergamots and patchouli if the drainage is good.
