Caper Bush Culture

I purchased a caperbush from you a few years back and have managed to keep it alive. It is sad though, even after a spring transplant with new injection of soiless soil. It grew and looked relatively happy. Now indoors, it is under lights and frowns at dry or moist conditions. Even semi-moist, it just looks sad. Searching for growing tips, I find little on this ugly little plant. Yet it is worthy. I’d like to see it happy. Any tips?

If you will go to the Resources for Growers section of the Richters website at http://www.richters.com, you will find anything you ever wanted to know about capers. It mentions that the plant is sprawling, likes sharply drained rocky soil, loves heat and full sun yet probably is not in bone dry soil, because it thrives on rocky seashores in the Mediterranean. It will die in temperatures that dip below minus 8 degrees Celsius (18 degrees Fahrenheit).
