What is the best way to store fresh herbs?

Rinse in cold water, shake off excess moisture, wrap in a paper towel and put in the crisper of your refrigerator. When towel becomes dry, remoisten.

For longer storage, wash, strip off the leaves, place leaves in a plastic sealable bag and freeze. Basil will turn black, but retain its flavour better than in drying.
