Chia Herb Garden Not Doing Well

I recently purchased the ‘chia herb garden’. They took about ten days then I saw them start to come up. However it’s been about a month and a half and they were growing nicely but this last week they have started to dry out. I keep them by a humidifier on my kitchen counter, they do not get much sun and I may over-water them at times, can you help? How can I reverse this? Are my plants dying?

Most herbs are high light plants and you mention that your indoor garden is not getting much light. This will eventually kill them. Move them to the brightest spot you can find, preferably a south-facing window. If none of the windows let in much sun, purchase an overhead fluorescent lamp -- best with two 40 watt tubes -- and place them as close to the plants as possible, starting about a foot (30cm) away and moving them closer every week -- to allow the plants to adjust to the higher light intensity gradually.
