I am looking to start a new herb garden and was wondering what herbs would be suitable for Statesboro, GA, USA. And also is there a particular layout for a container herb garden that you suggest.

Statesboro, GA, USA is in the top portion of zone 8, so you may get the odd zone 7 winter. This means you can even grow rosemary out of doors as long as your plants are planted into the ground, not in containers. For containers you must choose zone 6 or 5 plants only and maybe give them a bit of noon shade. Do get our catalogue where you will find a herb garden offer with a suggested planting scheme included with each order. This suggested beginners herb garden (Catalogue # P7400) contains lemon balm, garlic chives, lovage, rosemary, winter savory, French tarragon, bay laurel, English lavender, Greek oregano, sage, garden sorrel and English thyme.
