Variagation Reversion due to Heat?

I wonder if you are able to shed some light on this. I live in the tropics where it is hot all year around.

I have acquired and grown a number of variegated herbs, such as golden variegated lemon thyme, variegated peppermint, golden rain rosemary and variegated ginger mint which I noticed have reverted to green under the local climate here in Singapore.

Pineapple mint, however, is a stable variegated mint, I have observed.

Do you have any experience with this especially in summer in your area?

Yes we do notice this. There are several variegated herbs that become much better in colour in the cool growing months of the year. You may have to grow them in pots in an air-conditioned space in your climate to enjoy their colour potential.
