Looking for Strongest Mint Available

I wish to start growing an herb garden. I wanted the strongest mint that I could get ahold of. I was wondering if you ahve any very strong mint. I used to travel around a lot, and often found mint growing wild. It was very strong to taste. Every mint that I have had from stores, or peoples gardens have been a very weak shadow of the mint that I would find growing wild.

First, what type of mint are you looking for? There are many varieties of mint. Peppermint and spearmint are the most common types, and within each of those categories there are many varieties. We have several different spearmints and several different peppermints; but there are literally hundreds if not thousands more just in the peppermint and spearmint categories. That’s true because mints cross pollinate readily thereby producing many local variations, some of which are found in the wild.

If you are looking for a mint with a peppermint taste, many people find our peppermint to be very strong. It is also known as "candymint" because of the flavour. If you are looking for a spearmint type (sweeter, like Wrigley’s spearmint gum) you can try our regular spearmint, scotch spearmint, or improved spearmint -- all have strong flavour. The scotch spearmint is the variety grown commercially for the spearmint oil used in the food industry.
