Can you recommend a treatment for canine ear mites?
The best thing to do would be to find an infused oil of Mullein (Verbascum thapsus), Oregon Grape (Berberis aquifolium), Garlic (Allium sativum) and Yarrow (Achillea millifolium). If you cannot find these oils through a health food shop or a herbalist in your area, here is how you make your own: take 15 grams each of Mullein, Oregon grape root and Yarrow and grind them to a powder. Put them in a jar and add two cloves of crushed fresh Garlic. Pour over top 250 ml of Olive oil, stir and screw on the lid. Let it sit in a dark spot for one month, stirring contents one to two times a day. At the end of the month, strain, add 400 iu Vitamin E and store infused oil in a cool, dark place. To administer to a dog with ear mites: put two to three drops of this infused oil in both of the dog’s ears twice a day for one to two weeks.
