Homeopathics and Heart Worms Answered by: Kerry Hackett Question from: Dr. Deb Thompson Posted on: April 02, 2006
Are you aware of any homeopatic treatment for heart worms in dogs?
The only homeopathic heartworm preventative I am aware of is a heartworm nosode which would be acquired through a homeopath. It is typically given in a 30C potency in two week intervals. If a dog already has heartworm, a treatment employing a homeopathic remedy would be based on that particular dog’s symptom picture, both from a physical and emotional point of view. Homeopathic remedies as described in most materia medicas can range from half a page to many pages of indications, so careful consideration is involved for each dog in question.
