Dog and Tumour Answered by: Kerry Hackett Question from: Shannon Smith Posted on: April 03, 2006
My dog has a cancerous tumor in his front right leg. Is there a herbal treatment to prolong his life?
This is a very complicated and difficult case and one, unfortunately beyond the scope of this forum. Both you and your dog would benefit much more from ongoing care with a qualified professional who works with both animals and herbs. This person will be in a much better position to take a full case history specific to your dog and monitor his condition on a regular basis. In the meantime, stengthening his all-over health and immune system by feeding a diet of homemade food may add to his quality of life. Please see books by Richard Pitcairn, "Natural Health for Dogs and Cats", "The Complete Herbal Handbook for the Dog and Cat" by Juliette de Bairacli Levy and "The Barf Diet" by Ian Billinghurst. I am sorry I cannot be of further help.
