I have been told that my cats need dental care. Cleaning, maybe there is an abscess. However, I would prefer to find something natural to treat these conditions. What do you recommend? After all, what did cats do before they had people caring for them who may or may not have money!
Dental health is a reflection of general health and internal function. Therefore, you may want to look at the possibility of switching your cats to a good, homemade diet in order to have all their dietary needs met. Please see the work of Richard Pitcairn, "Natural Health for Dogs and Cats", "The Complete Herbal Handbook for the Dog and Cat" by Juliette de Bairacli Levy and "The Barf Diet" by Ian Billinghurst for further information and recipes. However, should there be an abscess, you should deal with that via your veterinarian or one found through the Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association (www.vbma.org). It may also be that you will have to have the build-up of tartar and calculus on your cats’ teeth removed this time, but the dietary change mentioned above may mitigate further dental problems in future.
