While my grandaughter is in college I adopted her one year old cat. Recently this cat brought up a worm curled upin a small circle along with a hairball. When I straightened the worm out it was one inch long and went right back to coiled position.. How do we rid pets and humans of worms from pets?
It sounds like you are referring to roundworms, very common in youg animals. Please see the following postings on this website (www.richters.com): "Cats and Worms" and "Cats and Tapeworm" (the homeopathic treatment would be the same whether it be roundworms or tapeworms).
You also mention roundworm (I assume) in humans. As far as I know Toxocara cati (roundworm in kittens) and Toxocara leonina (roundworm in adult dogs and cats) are not transmissible to humans whereas Toxocara canis (roundworm in puppies) is. Therefore, you should not have to worry about picking up a roundworm infestation from your grandaughter’s cat.
