I have a 9 year old labrador retiever that has pain and stiffness after a 30 minute walk. Is there a natural herb/product that I can give him to reduce pain and inflamation? I would prefer to use a natural product rather than a manufactured chemical treatment.

Have you taken your dog to see a veterinarian? If so, was the problem thought to be arthritis? Hip dysplasia? Back problems? An assortment of postings on this website (www.richters.com) to deal with any of these conditions include: "Aging Dog with Arthritis", "Dog has Stiffness in Back Legs", "Dog and Back Problems", "Dog, Arthritis and Cayenne" and "Hip Dysplasia in Lab/Shepherd Cross".

As well, is there a natural antinflammatory for humans?

There are many pre-made herbal anti-inflammatories on the market. Herbs involved usually include: Devil’s Club (Harpagophytum procumbens), Bog Bean (Menyanthes trifoliata), White Willow (Salix alba), Chamomile (Matricaria recutita), Turmeric (Cucurma longa) and Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria).
