Worms in My Dog Answered by: Kerry Hackett Question from: Patricia Posted on: May 01, 2007
I have tried several medication for worms and even paid 20 dollars for a pill from the vet. Sammee my dog is getting flat worms. What can I do?
Are you sure you don’t mean tapeworms? These are normally found near the anus and look like grains of rice. Roundworms, on the other hand, are found in the vomitus and resemble mounds of spaghetti. Do either of these descriptions fit what you’ve witnessed in your dog? In either case, please see the postings on this website (www.richters.com) entitled, "Heartworm and Tapeworm Prevention" and "Cats and Tapeworm". Even though the latter posting is directed towards cats, the information would be useful for dogs as well.
