Lavender Use Answered by: Inge Poot Question from: Mark Zaroff Posted on: October 13, 1998
What can I do with my lavender that has grown in my garden? Thank you for your help.
The most well known use of lavender blossoms is for moth repelling sachets. Before the advent of "modern" evil smelling and health endangering moth repellents, ladies smelled of lavender in the spring, fall and winter, because their woolens had been stored in boxes with lavender at the bottom. The book, "Lavender" by Tessa Eveleigh (available from Richters as catalogue #B6177) would be a good reference for many more ideas on what to do with your lavender harvest.
