What would you recommend as a HERB that can be grown via commercial hydroponics (indoor) 12 months out of the year? Best yield and best market price? I noticed your site it mainly geared for the outdoor grower. We are looking at the possibility of supplying a hard to get herb or spice to our local restaurants all year round. Any help would be appreciated.

By far, basil is the best crop for hydroponic cultivation. The reason is that basil doesn’t ship or store well in the fresh cut state, unlike other herbs, which means that local producers will always have an advantage on quality. Basil is also used in large quantities in cooking, so the volume of demand is higher than that of most other herbs except parsley and probably cilantro.
