What do you know about apple mint? What are the usages for it?
Apple mint is one of a number of tasty fruit-scented mints (pineapple, orange, lemon, grapefruit, banana). Look for ginger mint and chocolate mint too. Apple mint is mild flavoured with a slight apple aroma and fuzzy, slightly rounded leaves. Leaves may be green or variegated. You can try it in place of any mint in a recipe but it goes well in cranberry juice, in fruit salads (especially ones containing apples), stir into yogurt to top or dip fresh fruit, toss with cooked peas or new potatoes, use in an apple or pineapple chutney or salsa for serving with pork or chicken. Add a handful of leaves to hot apple cider or to a pot of green tea. Use as a garnish for desserts, especially ones with fruit.
