Anise Hyssop Turning Yellow

I have grown Anise Hyssop for several years and in several locations in my Zone 7 garden. Each summer the plants starts off looking great but by midsummer the leaves start to change and turn yellow with a green veining. What is wrong and how can I change it? Is it a specific nutrient, soil drainage, insect problem or other? Thanks, I am at a loss.
Your problem sounds like an iron shortage. It may be that the pH of the soil is incorrect and therefore does not allow the plant to take up iron properly. It should be 5.5-6.5. Also the soil should be well drained. Try the chelated iron preparations available for Rhododendrons.
