Harvesting Anise Seeds

This year I planted some anise and now have quite a few dried plants with seeds ready for harvest. How do I get all those tiny seeds off? I started by gently rubbing the flower between my fingers, but then what? Do I use a fine mesh sieve to eliminate the small stems and stuff?
You may need more than one size of sieve. Use one just a bit too fine to allow the seeds to pass through to get rid of the fine stuff and then one with a mesh just big enough to let the seeds through. The larger stems and leaves will stay behind. Blowing gently across the seeds can also get rid of lighter material such as dried leaves.
