Lion’s Tail Winter Care Answered by: Inge Poot Question from: Cadorin Posted on: December 07, 2007
How does one propagate Leonotis leonurus? We purchased one last May when we visited your location. Now it is putting on a spectacular show in the garden. Must we pot it up before or after the frost? We cannot see any seeds. Can we take cuttings?
This plant only survives winters in zones 9-10. You do not say where you live, so I can only advise that if you live in a colder zone, pot the plant up and bring it indoors before any hard frost. It is easy to root cuttings from this plant.
