Because we are not qualified to practice medicine, we cannot provide medical advice. Our comments below are for study and research only. Sinus problems can have a variety of causes. They may or may not be related to your past cancer history. Cancer and the treatment of cancer loads the system with toxins and waste products. When the body is overloaded with waste products the sinuses can discharge fluids in an attempt to eliminate some of the toxins from the body. A health care provider such as a herbalist or naturopath would probably start you on a program of treatment and diet to help the body to eliminate toxins. Detoxification or blood purification formulae such as those recommended by Daniel Mowrey in his book "Proven Herbal Remedies" may help. These employ standard cleansing herbs such as red clover, dandelion, and yellow dock. Jethro Kloss, in his book, "Back to Eden," recommends a dietary change combined with the tea of bayberry bark. John Lust ("The Herb Book", available from Richters) recommends 14 herbs for sinus problems, including "wax myrtle," another name for bayberry. The books mentioned are all available from Richters. | | |
