St Johnswort and Ephedra

Can you please tell me what effect using Saint John’s Wort and Ma Huang yielding 12 mg. ephedrine alkaloids can do as a diet aid? I have seen where these together can help curve appetite, along with a few other ingredients that are listed.
We don’t know what the effect would be. We have never heard of anything specific with these two herbs taken together. Seemingly the effects are separate, with St Johnswort acting as antidepressant and mood-stabilizer and ephedra acting as a physical stimulant. It is impossible to predict what will happen with these two together.
