I have just been diagnosed with glandular fever and I am extremely interested in finding herbal remedies to help me recover. Would it be possible if you could post me information about this please?

Glandular fever, also called infectious mononucleosis, is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus. The main points in treatment are to rest even when you are not tired, to support your immune system, liver and lymph glands to deal with the virus, to decrease stress on your liver by avoiding fats, chemical additives, drugs and alcohol, and drinking lots of water to help eliminate toxins from your body.

Fresh fruit, vegetables, the herbs Astragalus and Echinacea and vitamin C support the immune system.

Milk Thistle and Dandelion root support the functioning of the liver. Dandelion coffee is available at health food stores, and may be taken as often as you wish.

Cleavers (Galium aparine) helps the lymphatic glands to cleanse your system.
