Can you give me any info on ‘red rice yeast’?

Red rice yeast (Aspergillus terreus) is a source of the natural cholesterol reducing compound called lovastatin. This compound blocks the body’s ability to produce cholesterol, and it has been highly touted for cholesterol control. It is based on a traditional Chinese remedy.

For more information, search for "lovastatin" on one of the Internet search engines such as Google.com or Altavista.com.
