| | | Herbs and HIV/AIDS Answered by: Susan Eagles Question from: Name not given Posted on: December 19, 2001
Are the use of herbs without traditional meds a good way of maintenance for HIV? What are some of the best herbs to use to keep counts where they should be (cd4 and viral loads. I know herbs are not a cure, but maintenance is what I’m searching for. Please forward any info you can help me with.
We cannot recommend that you use herbs without drugs. Although recent research questions the value of AIDS drugs, no one has an answer or a cure. Some articles that look at the question of the cause of HIV/AIDS and the use of drugs are available at http://www.virusmyth.net/aids/index.htm
Some of the herbs used in HIV/AIDS are listed on our website at http://www.richters.com. Choose "Q&A" from the main menu, then choose "Medicinal Herbs and Their Uses" and search for the item " Herbs Used by AIDS Patients ". In practice, medical herbalists and other natural practitioners treat each person individually, working on correcting imbalances. I suggest that you visit an experienced natural practitioner in your area who can advise you on your best course of action.
