What is Policosanol? Is it safe to use to reduce cholesterol instead of using RX Lavastatin? How does it interact with the following: Desmopressin Acetate Nasal Solution, Levothyroxine, Trianeterene/hctz, Aleve, and Glucosamine Sulfate?

Policosanol is a natural product made from sugar cane and beeswax. I have no experience with this product. You can search the internet for information by going to www.google.com, and entering "policosanol" for the search. The website http://www.wholehealthmd.com/refshelf/substances_view/1,1525,10127,00.html lists side effects and interactions with drugs.
