I have MS optic neuritis. I take eyebright for some inflammation. I also have muscle spasms and the doctors give me Zanaflex for that.

Is there a herb that can do what Zanaflex does for muscle stiffness ?

Zanaflex is a muscle relaxant used to treat muscle spasms in multiple sclerosis.

The herbs cramp bark (Viburnum opulus), skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) and valerian (Valeriana officinalis) are recommended for calming nervous and muscular spasms. Prickly ash bark (Zanthoxylum clavaherculis) is a good antispasmodic that also improves peripheral circulation.
