| | | Nervous System on High Answered by: Susan Eagles Question from: Brenda Posted on: September 15, 2006
I have a problem with my internal nervous system - major back, neck and muscle problems due to accidents. I had botox injections in 2004 and had every bad reaction you could think of. To top it off the doctor told me it would be okay to go to a chiropractor to move the flow better. It was a big mistake. I ended up with my nervous system out of control - rolling muscle spasms in my back, a burning, buzzing feeling. I ended up on 5 heavy duty drugs. I am now off the drugs but I felt a pinching between my shoulder blades and everything started up again. I just started with a pain clinic and they put me on lyceria, a new drug, but i don’t know if it’s helping. I am getting a squeezing feeling in my back. It makes me want to rock in my chair. I can’t focus, am losing weight. My system is on high internally, so the doctor said after a few tests..
Is there anyplace I can go for help? I’d like to be in somewhere where I can get help all day, just to get this under control. I feel that something is pinching. Would laser therapy work? Accupuncture seems to make things worse for me.
My husband stays with me and helps me. Someone told me it was my sympathetic nervous system out of control and the nerves along my spine.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. I’m in Minnesota but would travel for help.
I’m sorry, I don’t know of a facility that could help you on a daily basis. I suggest that you contact the associations listed on our website www.richters.com to ask for such information. Choose "Q&A" from the main menu, then enter "herbalist" for the search. The item "Finding a Herbalist" lists organizations for professional practitioners.
Osteopathic treatment is often very helpful for nervous system disorders such as these. Look for an osteopath in your area. You should be able to interview the osteopath on the phone to determine whether he or she can be helpful to you.
