I need your advice on a herb that might help relax our muscles. I have a spasm in my lower back.

Cramp bark (Viburnum opulus) is a good, general antispasmodic herb. Other antispasmodic herbs that are useful in muscle pain include wild lettuce (lactuca virosa), wild yam (Dioscorea villosa) and devil’s claw (Harpagophytum procumbens). Valerian is an antispasmodic that also relieves nerve tension and acts as a sedative. Black cohosh, commonly used for lower back pain, is an antispasmodic that contains salicylic acid, producing an aspirin like effect.
